I just announced up to 6 new projects (depending on how carefully you follow my work.) At least 2 of them are brand new to this website! Check out the latest edition of my Newsletter-of-Awesomeness for details.
Double Alert! Now available - an archives page for all previous Newsletters. Just click "Awesomeness Archives" over on the left.
Shooting just wrapped on Night Walk. This movie's gonna kick ass!
The artist search is officially over! Robert Bruner has signed on as our penciler for Salvage. Hi Robert! (Check out his Deviant Art @ http://near-zero.deviantart.com/).
Okay - clearly - it has been awhile. So let's get some updates:
Behind The Hero - Second issue is almost fully colored. Will definitely have it ready to print by the end of January.
Salvage - Our dear friend Robert has agreed to work with Jeremy and I on the artistic front. If all goes according to plan, we'll have the pencils for the pitch done by the end of the year.
Fate of the Prey - Jordyn's hard at work on those sample pages. Once again - the theory is to have them ready to go by the end of the year.
Night Walk - That would be the name of the movie I have the honor to be working on. Tomorrow (yes - Christmas day) I'll be driving home from Texas so that I can be on the set bright and early when filming begins on 12/26.
Unannounced Project - Look forward to a brand spanking new project making its existorial debut in January's Newsletter-of-Awesomeness.
NEWS FLASH! I do not update my news page nearly enough!
I now officially live in LA. New phone number: 310-806-3373. You should call me more often. And your mother, too. I bet she would love to hear from you.
I was honored to be featured in the "Sacramento News & Review" this week.
Okay... featured may be a strong word. But that is DEFINITELY a copy of "Behind The Hero" in that stack of comics.
Check it out: http://www.newsreview.com/sacramento/content?oid=1313998
My creative partner got married today! Congratulations Jeremy!
And Happy Halloween to everybody else.
Announcing the first ever official nation-wide Super Searnold artist search! Jeremy (whom many of you know from his wonderful coloring work on "Behind The Hero") and I have developed a brand new series called "Salvage" - and we need an artist! Click the link to your left for more details about the new series and to see if you have what it takes to join us in creating some brand new awesomeness!
I will be at the Alternative Press Expo (APE) in San Francisco next Sunday looking for an artist for a brand new project! Details coming soon.
I was bored this morning so I wrote a poem:
I once had a hat that was awesome.
It was made by my furry pet possum.
The hat got wet.
The possum upset.
So my mom said that I had to toss 'em.
Then I was still bored so I wrote another one:
There once was a dude from Nantucket.
He liked to tell people to suck it.
His bro called him bad.
And that made him sad.
So he went and threw up in a bucket.
Oh - then I added 36 pages of preview art to the Rytheria page. In my humble opinion, it is the best fantasy artwork that has ever been associated with a Super Searnold comic book (pay no heed to the fact that it is the ONLY fantasy artwork ever associated with one of my comics.)
The first official edition of the "SuperSearnold.com Newsletter-of-Awesomeness" just went out! Click me anywhere to read it.
Wait! No. Anywhere EXCEPT there. (I'm ticklish.)
I changed the font! Isn't it pretty? (I know it's a stretch to call that "News" but I was excited and wanted to share that with you.)
The first offical "SuperSearnold.com Newsletter-of-Awesomeness" goes out tomorrow! If you want to be a part of it, sign up by entering your e-mail address in the appropriate box to your left. (Don't forget to click "submit.")
A selection of the greatest (and worst) scripts I have ever written as well as a mini-autobiography about how the scripts came to be are now available at the Scripts section of the website. Enjoy!
I have updates for you! Okay, these are old updates. But I figured now that I have a news page I might as well put something here, yah? Well - you can now download .pdf's and .cbr's of both "Behind The Hero #1" and "The Best Mini-Comic You'll Ever Read!" right here at SuperSearnold.com. Just click on the name of the comic over there on the left, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. Enjoy! And feel free to "illegally" spread these all over the internet with all sorts of torrents and what-not!
And thus shall it be that on this day Searnold did sayeth unto the world, "Behold! For I bring to you good tidings of great awesomeness! From this day forth until eternity there shall be a News page at SuperSearnold.com - for one's life is too fleeting a thing to spend your time not enjoying the comics that you read." And so it was. And he saw it and said that it was nifty! :-)
